Our design project is based mainly on the production of caps in capping industries. The liner underneath each cap is very essential because it prevents leakage, contamination and spoilage which can result to consumer dissatisfaction if not properly detected and segregated. Here in the Philippines, human checker are employed in capping companies to inspect these liners but as we all know, a human person is not 100 percent efficient.
Therefore, we implemented a prototype which automatically detects and segregates the caps with liners from those without. Liner sensors are used to detect these caps and a solenoid is needed to do the segregation. The project can also meet the output production rate of caps in capping companies.
